Located close to the main gate of Bwindi National Park, Buhoma Rest Camp is an affordable and peaceful place where you can relax and wind while planning to take a gorilla trek, the next day in the park.
With 6 well-furnished and self-contained (en suite) safari tents, accommodation at the Rest Camp is provided in clean well maintained Bandas. The tents are exquisitely positioned and mounted on platforms that look onto steep gallery forest. All bandas are built using with local materials and are of African architectural design.
All the accommodation has solar electric lighting installed. Five of the Bandas have shared washing/toilet facilities whilst one unit is self-contained. There is also a 6-bed dormitory for travelers looking to group stay.
There are several leveled terraces for those with their own equipment to camp. There is a picnic Banda in which to sit, socialize, relax and eat as well as a reception building that houses a bar and dining room. Cold beers and sodas are available with local produce used to provide visitors meal
